day no. 14,434: uh, needs more salt

Leviticus 2:13
You shall season all your grain offerings with salt. You shall not let the salt of the covenant with your God be missing from your grain offering; with all your offerings you shall offer salt; it is a food offering to the Lord.

God likes salt. Maybe it's because He dislikes bland. We know He has distaste for lukewarm water (Rev. 3:16). Bland, tasteless offerings are the chewable equivalent of lukewarm water. Grace is not tasteless. It adds flavor.

Colossians 4:5-6
Walk in wisdom toward outsiders, making the best use of the time. 6 Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person.

God cares how things are seasoned.

Psalm 34:8
Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good!
