Proverbs 11:25
Whoever brings blessing will be enriched,
and one who waters will himself be watered.
In "Morning & Evening"
(August 21st) Spurgeon directs our attentions to this verse as a means of
discipleship. If you want to learn, attempt to teach. If you want to be happy,
seek the happiness of others. If you want to feel like you have purpose,
dedicate yourself to the purposes of others. If you want to be filled, pour
yourself out. If you're feeling dry, water others.
Essentially, we are discipled by our
discipling others
