Psalm 59
God is our strength and our shield. He is
the power by which I exist and the protection from that which seeks to destroy
me. I am strongest when I'm at my weakest and it is His strength alone
sustaining me. I am safest when I'm behind Him and trusting His ways to absorb
the blow. If I walk as though I'm strong or get out ahead or off to the side of
where He's going, I'm vulnerable: caught in the net of pride and without a
defense.
