Exodus 33:3, 15
Go up to a land flowing with milk and
honey; but I will not go up among you, lest I consume you on the way, for you
are a stiff-necked people.” 15 And he said to him, “If your presence will not
go with me, do not bring us up from here.
Jake Hering captured the essence of this chapter when he said, "If you could have Heaven without
God, would you want that deal? If you could have happiness, health, wealth,
prosperity, protection, etc… but NOT the presence of God, would you?"
Moses said, "No deal." He wanted
to be wherever God was and receive whatever conditions or circumstances
accompanied His presence.
