Exodus 36:6-7
So Moses gave command, and word was
proclaimed throughout the camp, “Let no man or woman do anything more for the
contribution for the sanctuary.” So the people were restrained from bringing, 7
for the material they had was sufficient to do all the work, and more.
God provides vision for the work He wants
performed and He provides generous hearts to provide the means. But He also
provides protection from greediness. Enough was enough and there was no need to
hoard for later or redirect the funds into a personal account. The people were
restrained by the prophet.
