an everlasting well and the everlasting hell‏

Numbers 21:17

Then Israel sang this song:

“Spring up, O well!—Sing to it!—

I just read this the other day in my Bible read-through and could not help but wonder if this verse inspired the anthem of THIS song.

I’ve got a river of life flowing within me;
It makes the lame to walk and the blind to see.
It opens prison doors, sets the captives free.
I’ve got a river of life flowing within me.

Spring up, O well, within my spirit!
Rise up and tell, so all can hear it!
Spring up, O well, so I experience
That life abundantly.

I’ve got a river of life flowing within me;
It started gushing up when God set me free.
That I keep the flow is my only plea.
I’ve got a river of life springing within me.

Once I call His name there’s a flow within;
It turns me from my day, makes Him Lord again.
As my spirit burns, Satan cannot win.
Calling, “Oh Lord Jesus,” keeps the flow within

Either way, BOTH are a call to praise God for His provision.

If He does not spring up the wells of our physical or spiritual needs, we perish for lack of either.

3 weeks without food, 3 days without water, 3 minutes without oxygen are all said to kill you as the infamous and anonymous "they" often say.

A life lived absent of repentance and belief in Christ WILL unequivocally kill you, forever and ever, over and over.
