the Lord said in his heart, “I will never
again curse the ground because of man, for the intention of man's heart is evil
from his youth."
Those are two dramatic things to say made
all the more dramatic by the fact that they are said back to back. Let's break
this down: God says He will never curse the ground again. Like, ever. That is
HUGE!!! And then He points out that this isn't because man deserves it. He
knows what He is getting Himself into. He
knows that the people He chooses to love are people who will choose to love
evil. God chooses who He will love and then He commits to love His choice.
