The man called his wife's name Eve, because
she was the mother of all living.
Adam believed the Good News by naming his
wife, Eve – the mother of all living. The curse just revealed she would be the
mother of all the dying. Because of sin, everyone, as God had said, will now
die. But Adam doesn't name her the mother of all who will die, but the mother
of all who will live and the One who will live, die, rise and live forever will
be born as a result of her maternity.
