When Lamech had lived 182 years, he fathered a son 29 and called his name Noah, saying, “Out of the ground that the Lord has cursed, this one shall bring us relief from our work and from the painful toil of our hands.”
If you believe your primary conflict is with the ground, that war will one day be over… and the ground will have won. It will devour your corpse just like it drank your sweat during the days of your life. But our conflict is not against flesh, blood or dirt, but against God who gives the spirit of life. And everyone loses that war unless God provides a safe haven.
