And the Lord God made for Adam and for his
wife garments of skins and clothed them.
God covered the shame of Adam and Eve. Sin
spoiled the unashamed place of being naked before God (Gen. 2:25), but God
provided a way for them to be clothed before Him and each other in right
standing. The skins that covered them required something else to die. Blood was
shed in order to cover the sins of Adam and Eve. Adam and Eve lived without
shame because something else died.
