day no. 14,727: ordained spheres of influence

God is the Head of the government of everything
Christ is the Head of the government of all peoples.
The Civil Magistrate is the Head of the government of its particular people.
The Church is the Head of the government of its particular assembly.
The Father is the Head of the government of his family.
The Husband is the Head of the government of his wife.
The Individual is the Head of the government of their self.

All authority begins with and comes from God.

No earthly authority is absolute.

Any authority that demands what God forbids or forbids what God demands is to be disobeyed inasmuch as their demand conflicts with their Authority's demands.

Sin means that all earthly authorities will fail to fulfill their responsibilities at some point or overstep their jurisdiction at other points.

Each has its own kill-switch:

God can destroy the world.
Christ can destroy the soul.
The Civil Magistrate can destroy the body.
The Church can excommunicate the congregant.
The Father can disinherit the child.
The Husband can divorce the wife.
The Individual can die to their self.

At each level, government can break down or build up; and each level is given the responsibility to build and break particular things - to raise and to raze within its jurisdictions.

Earthly governments categorically breakdown into three broad sections: Country, Church, Family.

The Civil Magistrate's jurisdiction is the sword of justice: punishing evil doers and protecting the innocent of its people.
The Church's jurisdiction is the Word, sacraments, and discipline of its people.
The Family's jurisdiction is the welfare, health, and education of its people.
