1 Corinthians 12:2
You know that when you were pagans you were led astray to mute idols, however you were led.
If our only concern is being or feeling moved by something, we will subject ourselves to whatever presumes to push us around.
Idols can move us, but they cannot lead us anywhere other than astray. And there are a million different ways to go astray. They may vary by degree, but they invariably lead away.
And though we may comfort ourselves with having felt moved, we will curse ourselves for where we end up.
