Psalm 48
God is the great King! So great, in fact, that when
the kings of earth approach His throne, they immediately renounce their titles
and fearfully flee. His majesty is His possession. He is not made King because of His crown, He is crowned because He alone is King. The kings of the earth are
appointed or proclaimed, but none, like God, possess majesty as part of their DNA. Our God
is God forever and cannot be removed from His throne. Neither death nor life
can conspire to successfully usurp His eternal majesty.
