the Chef's pantry‏

Romans 8:28-29

28 And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. 29 For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.

I am guessing that God does not employ any more discomfort than required to produce that which He desires anymore than I desire to enforce any more discipline than necessary to produce fruit in the hearts and lives of my children.

Do not forget that God loves us.

He does not over-salt.
He does not over-sugar.

We would ruin ourselves and others by making some difficulties too salty and others too sweetly.

God uses salt and sugar in their right proportions depending on the dish He is preparing for you in becoming like Christ.

He is the Chef.

Conform your palate to His pleasure.
