Man is the glory of God and is created in God's image.
Man is the glory of God and is created in God's image.
Which makes his fall so much more tragic.
All creation suffers because of man's depravity.
Nothing could demonstrate God's majesty more than the mankind He created.
Nothing could bring more accusation against God than the trouble this mankind produces.
But God in Christ purposed from before time began to demonstrate His love in designing a world in which He is the hero and not the men He created.
God does all of this for the men He designed and loves.
Jesus died because men are God's reflected glory.
Jesus died because men are God's shame.
The cross demonstrates the great love He has for us and the great shame which we bring on Him.
