Psalm 34
David acted like a madman an Abimelech
bought it. David's heart leapt for joy. That plan should not have prospered,
but David's God is better than David's plan. What follows is the overflow of a
grateful heart loudly proclaiming that all the credit for David's life goes to
God.
I particularly like how this song ends...
"The LORD redeems the life of his servants; none of those who take refuge
in Him will be condemned." No one who seeks refuge in Him will be harmed.
Put another way, everyone who takes their shelter in Him is safe. Conversely,
everyone who looks for safe harbor anywhere else will find their faith
shipwrecked.
