He that putteth his trust in me shall possess the land, and shall inherit my holy mountain.
The meek shall inherit the mountains. The land is not merely an empty wine bottle. It isn't simply discarded after being consumed. It isn't the leftover husk after all the good stuff has been plucked out. The land is the wine. It flows with milk and honey. It contains buried treasures. It is where we build our homes and watch our children learn how to walk. It is where we grow our food and watch our livestock birth theirs. The land is not the et cetera. It is not merely along for the ride. It is not simply the stage on which the important things take place. It is not merely the means, but the end. It is not just the piano, it is the music.
And those who put their trust in the Maker of the land will have it. They will inherit the earth and the ethereal. They will possess the land and the Lord. He will be their God and they will be His people. This will be their land and He will be their mountain.
Psalm 95:2-7
Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto Him with psalms. For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods. In His hand are the deep places of the earth: the strength of the hills is His also. The sea is His, and He made it: and His hands formed the dry land. O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the Lord our maker. For He is our God; and we are the people of His pasture, and the sheep of His hand.
