Isaiah 51:12-13
I, even I, am He that comforteth you: who art thou, that thou shouldest be afraid of a man that shall die, and of the son of man which shall be made as grass; And forgettest the Lord thy Maker, that hath stretched forth the heavens, and laid the foundations of the earth; and hast feared continually every day because of the fury of the oppressor, as if he were ready to destroy? and where is the fury of the oppressor?
Who are we to fear those on whom God has openly declared war? Who are we to cower before those whom God commands to kneel? Why should we worry about the plans of those who God promises to thwart? Who are we to comply to the demands of tyrants for whom God promises destruction? Who are we to fear the fury of the feral for whom God reserves His hellfire?
Do not forget your God.
Do not dwell on your oppressors.
They too shall pass,
but He never will.
