Leviticus 26:7-9
And ye shall chase your enemies, and they shall fall before you by the sword. And five of you shall chase an hundred, and an hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight: and your enemies shall fall before you by the sword. For I will have respect unto you, and make you fruitful, and multiply you, and establish my covenant with you.
The covenant of Christ keeps.
Covenant keeps its enemies on the run. No one can stand before God except in Christ and anyone in Christ can stand before anyone else. If you can stand in the throne room of God, you need not bow anywhere else. If you can approach Him, you need not run from anyone else.
Covenant keeps on coming. It does not expire. It does not run its course or get exhausted. It continues. It produces more. It grows and expands. It increases circumference as it grows in diameter. It increases contact with the outside world like a spotlight growing in circumference increases its contact with the darkness. The number of contact points grow as the light does. This is a sure sign of the end of night, not the beginning of dusk.
Covenant keeps count. It multiplies. It knows its own and does not lose them. It keeps close watch over those it promises to tend to. It does not make anything it does not care for. It does not fear scarcity, but trusts in charity. It does not withhold, it gives hilariously.
Covenant keeps one from being held captive. It is free. It overflows. It spills over and floods the land. It immerses everything until it is all baptized under One Name. It establishes and expands its influence and presence. It does not go gently into that night, but rages against it. The night cannot prevail against high noon. The sun is up. The days are growing longer.
