God's enemies have no hope. They have no hope of defeating Him in battle and they have no hope of surviving His presence after they die on the battlefield. But God saves some of His enemies by changing the way they see things. Instead of hatred and aggression toward the things of God, they are translated into those who feel guilt and shame. Their loathing is turned from outward to inward. They begin to grieve their opposition to God and that is the place from where God also destroys His enemies: by turning them into His friends. All God's enemies will be vanquished. Some will hold out and launch arrows right up until their final defeat while others will be destroyed by being reborn into the family of God as His friends who launch out on mission for Him right up until their final victory in consummation.
