After these things the word of the Lord
came to Abram in a vision: “Fear not, Abram, I am your shield; your reward
shall be very great.”
After receiving communion and blessing from
Melchizedek, Abram receives assurance and security from the Lord. If God is
your shield, what can harm you? If your reward is coming from the Maker of
riches, how great is your reward?
