John 19:30
When Jesus had tasted it, he said, “It is finished!” Then he bowed his head and released his spirit.
Jesus finished the work He came down to complete.
On the Cross, it was completed.
When He was done, He bowed His head and surrendered Himself to death.
He was in charge of all of it and this is what He chose to do in order to earn a righteousness He could lend to us and to pay a price for sin we could not pay.
