day no. 17,047: a long fuse and a loud bang

Ephesians 4:26
Be angry and do not sin

Be dangerous, but under control.

Keep calm and tarry bombs, but do not tarry forever.

Pack your patience, but pack a punch too.

Go off when you want to, not when someone else lights your fuse.

Choose when your fuse is lit and let it be a long one with a loud bang.

Numbers 14:18
The Lord is longsuffering, and of great mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression, and by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation.

Be like God: suffer long, but not forever.

Be angry, but do not sin.

2 Corinthians 10:3-5
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.

If you can’t, or even worse if you won’t, get angry... it is sin. You must be angry sometimes, but never without a sense of proportion. Do not blow someone up over nothing, but do be ready to blow some things out of the water.

Matthew 5:5
Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.

The meek will inherit the earth. Meekness is strength under control. If you are not strong, you  cannot be meek. Meekness is not weakness out of control. It is strength under the control of Christ; and it will conquer the world.
