day no. 17,030: a spoonful of sugar substitute

“Empathy is the delivery platform of radical relativism.” — Douglas Wilson, Keep Your Kids

Post-modern goo often requires a spoonful of sugar substitute to help the poison go down. That little pink packet is called "empathy." In order to discredit the truth (that they do not like), they have insisted on "their truths" (which they do). In order to make a new heavens and a new earth, they have made a new truth, which is to say, they have started believing that old lie that one can reign in Hell to avoid having to serve in Heaven. But God provides no place where vain conceit is permitted to reign. Radical relativism and unhinged individualism cannot reinvent reality. They can fabricate a surreality, but they cannot impose it upon the real thing. In other words, the chaos cannot win. It can, unfortunately, burn some things down, but only by lighting itself on fire.
