Exodus 28:2
And you shall make holy garments for Aaron
your brother, for glory and for beauty.
I read this today and thought of my wife. I
love how God is concerned with glory and beauty. It is the essence of
femininity: the glory of man and the most beautiful of all God's creation. God
commanded Aaron's garments to be made beautiful because they were going to
enter directly into God's glory. For the reason then of making much of God
(glory) skilled workers are to labor and toil to produce beautiful garments to
adorn the priest prior to his entering the holy place. It's not all fully baked
out, but I hope you can see how the connections were beginning to form in my
mind. I like that she puts time into looking nice and that she takes her
femininity seriously for the sake of glory and for the sake of beauty.
This is so sweet. I love verses like this, and I love that you thought of me!
