Christendom is all swords in the same direction. This will result in every nation no longer needing swords. As all nations eventually commit to Christ and His Word, they will aim their efforts at eliminating sin., not eliminating each other. This will look like repentance and a return to the law of God in addition to a reluctance to relearn war. This is the natural result of Jesus putting all of His enemies under His authority.

1 Corinthians 15:25-26

For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. The last enemy to be destroyed is death.

At some point the only enemy left will be death, and then, even death will bow the knee to Christ. In Him is the light of life. He shines in the darkness and the darkness cannot overcome it.
