Thinking a lot about the future and a little about what others think of you are great qualities to possess. In fact, having them often protects you from being had.
Proverbs 4:26
Ponder the path of thy feet,
and let all thy ways be established.
If you're not thinking about the future, someone else will be and their vision for your future will have a head start when you get there.
Proverbs 29:25
The fear of man bringeth a snare:
but whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe.
If you're thinking a lot about what others think about you, you will end up doing what they want instead of what you want.
Ecclesiastes 12:13
Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
Postmillennial perspicuity spreads the leaven through the loaf and divine indifference protects the project from outside interference. The one who is unflappable and unruffled will go far.
