Zephaniah 2:9-11
The remnant of my people shall plunder them, and the survivors of my nation shall possess them. This shall be their lot in return for their pride, because they taunted and boasted against the people of the LORD of hosts. The LORD will be awesome against them; for he will famish all the gods of the earth, and to him shall bow down, each in its place, all the lands of the nations.
Those who vaunted their vileness against God's elect will come to eat crow. All that they've built will be kept for those called by Christ's name.
Proverbs 13:22
A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children,
but the sinner’s wealth is laid up for the righteous.
God is the good man Who has left the land to His people. He has stored up His goodness and emptied its treasures in Christ. In Him all good things have been given. No good thing has been withheld. An inheritance can only be gained when someone who loves you dies. Christ died to bestow an inheritance on His beloved. The Savior secured our estate.
The wealth of the world is merely a bank account drawing interest for the meek who get to keep it. There is no rest for the wicked, but there is no reward for all their rigor. They have no real estate, only fake places. Wickedness doesn't keep. It spoils, rots, and goes away.
Just as Israel inherited the Egyptian's gold (Ex. 12:36), the Christian will receive the wealth of the world. All riches are reserved for the righteous. The riches of right standing before our Father, the riches of right living through His Spirit, and the riches of His good world secured for us by His Son through His blood.
Ephesians 2:6-7
[God] hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
We are seated with Christ above as we work here below according to what He has prepared beforehand for us. And in all things, every where, whatever we do for the glory of God in the Name of His Christ, we are richly blessed and ever will be.
