"If there be in Europe any people or principality which respects neither republics nor religions... then blame that: and do more than blame. In the healthy and highly theological words of Robert Blatchford, drive it back to the Hell from which it came." — G.K. Chesterton, Utopia of Usurers
Christians are not called merely to disagree with the devil, but to demolish his arguments. We are not meant to simply shake our heads in disapproval, but to shake the world like a dirty rug. It is not enough to resist the charm of the world. We have been placed in charge of exposing the ugliness of its cosmetics. The schemes of the serpent are meretricious and it's a hot mess under there once the concealer comes off.
2 Corinthians 10:3-5
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.
Babel needs to be thrown back into the abyss. Brick by brick it has built up its battlements. It was not raised in a day and it won't be razed in a day, but buildings do come down faster than they go up and by the grace of God and the fight of His faithful, we get to enjoy the demolition of the demonic strongholds.
Isaiah 54:17
"No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the LORD.
Our heritage is hamstringing the gates of hell. Our handiwork will be the harbinger of its annihilation.
Psalm 149:5-9
Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds. Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand; To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people; To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the Lord.
The honor of the the saints is seeing the nations made disciples of Christ. May songs always be in our mouths and swords always ibe n our hands as we raise a glass and raze the sass. Every knee shall bow and every tongue confess Christ as its conqueror. Some, like the saints, will recognize this fact with gladness while the rest will admit it with sadness.
