Zechariah 4:10
For whoever has despised the day of small things shall rejoice, and shall see the plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel.
Do not despise the day of small things. Plodding is productive. Inching away can go for miles. Do not think small of small things. Great ends often have humble beginnings and great gains are achieved by those making small strides. Do not, Like Naaman, look down on the small matters at hand.
2 Kings 5:13
And his servants came near, and spake unto him, and said, "My father, if the prophet had bid thee do some great thing, wouldest thou not have done it? how much rather then, when he saith to thee, Wash, and be clean?"
We often go looking to make a majestic gesture or sacrifice while an ordinary opportunity remains in front of us overlooked. But God is gracious and those who thought little of the little things will see it come together. The discouragement of not seeing any progress will give way to seeing it finished before their eyes. Those who have walked by sight will walk by faith and those who have seen only the chaos of the renovation will be given eyes to see the finished product.
Do not sleep on the small stuff.
A wall is made up of many bricks and each was laid down with the end in mind and an unfinished wall before it.
