Illogical is literally the state of being "il" = not + "logos" = word. To be illogical is to be oriented against or altogether without the Word.
John 5:456-47
Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father. There is one who accuses you: Moses, on whom you have set your hope. 46 For if you believed Moses, you would believe Me; for he wrote of Me. 47 But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe My words?
What hope is there for someone who does not hope even in what they claim to hope? Some said that Moses was their hope, yet refused to believe in what Moses placed his. Moses wrote of a prophet, greater than himself, who was coming down the pipeline of God's redemptive history. So if you believe in some parts of the Bible in order to help you not believe in other parts, your belief is a muddled mess. You don't even believe in what you say you believe.
