1 Corinthians 14:37-38
If anyone thinks that he is a prophet, or spiritual, he should acknowledge that the things I am writing to you are a command of the Lord. 38 If anyone does not recognize this, he is not recognized.
If anyone thinks they know what they're talking about or have access to spiritual realities, but do not at the same time submit themselves to the authoritative Word of God, they are not what they think they are. They are what God says they are: not a prophet or spiritual, despite whatever credentials they can produce.
Anyone who is legit recognizes the legitimacy of God's Word. Anyone who does not recognize this standard is not worth recognizing or attributing any authority to. You do not have to listen to anyone who does not listen to God when it comes to matters related to spirit and truth.
