Exodus 12:12-13
On all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgments:
I am the Lord. 13 The blood shall be a sign for you, on the houses where you
are. And when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and no plague will befall
you to destroy you, when I strike the land of Egypt.
The Potter is at war with the potters the
pots have imagined. The Creator is executing the gods His creation have
created. Nothing saves except the blood. The sign chosen by God will secure
salvation, but only His sign. Nothing but the blood will due. No other god can withstand,
no other sign can suffice to restrain the awful presence of Yahweh.
