Ecclesiastes 1:1-2
The words of the Preacher, the son of David, king in Jerusalem.
Vanity of vanities, saith the Preacher, vanity of vanities; all is vanity.
If there is no God, nothing matters.
None of it.
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14
Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
If there is a God, everything matters.
All of it.
If you begin without God, it doesn't matter where you go from there.
If you end with God, everywhere you go in the meantime matters.
