day no. 14,045: eternity is unswervingly shrewd

Ecclesiastes 3:14
I perceived that whatever God does endures forever; nothing can be added to it, nor anything taken from it. God has done it, so that people fear before Him.

Eternity is unswervingly shrewd. You cannot make infinity more and you cannot rob from its weight. You cannot tax it and you cannot improve it. The sheer sovereignty of God in it all is incredibly dwarfing. We live, breath, love, and die in the hands of a crushing reality: we add nothing to or take anything away from God's design.
