Now the people began complaining openly before the Lord about hardship. When the Lord heard, His anger burned, and fire from the Lord blazed among them and consumed the outskirts of the camp. 2 Then the people cried out to Moses, and he prayed to the Lord, and the fire died down. 3 So that place was named Taberah, because the Lord’s fire had blazed among them.
OR...
"I'll give you something to cry about!!!" (VVCSV)
This is perhaps where our parents got this phrase.
It's Biblical.
Who knew?
Take it from Dakota Fanning, "whiners are wieners."
And I personally make it a point not to mess with Dakota.
Philippians 2:14
Do everything without grumbling and arguing
How smart does Paul sound in light of Numbers 11:1-3?
God hates complaining.
He hates grumbling.
God is honored and our neighbor tastes salt when we refuse to complain about the circumstances God has engineered for our lives.
Easier said than done for sure.
But worth the effort.
