Galatians 3:22
But the Scripture imprisoned everything under sin, so that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.
We saw this before in Romans HERE.
The word "imprisoned" is our old friend "consigned."
A proper reading of the OT (what Paul refers to here as Scripture) will render the reader destroyed before a Holy God and His loft commands hoping for a Savior by Whom God will deliver His chosen people from despair and destruction.
Paul writes here after the events of the Cross to tell us that this Savior had a name. The Bible imprisons the whole world and makes it possible that only One specific Person can set it free: Jesus Christ, the Lord.
