That is such a billy bad apple thing to say. Do you suppose if this were to be translated into the Message
"For they say, 'His blogs are bold, but in person he is a wimp, and he's not very imposing.' I would like them to know that what I blog on-line, I am in person."
Or something like that.
Paul had real authority because it was given to him by a real Authority. The only real authority in this world is that given to it from the Authority that made the world.
Governments, Pastors, Husbands, Parents, and Employers.
It's not a long list, but it's long enough that I can with confidence suspect that the person reading this blog has difficulty in honoring at least one of them.
i know at least couple of the authorities in that list stick out at me as being ones i should be honoring more.
