Matthew 13:51-52
“Have you understood all these things?” They said to him, “Yes.” 52 And he said to them, “Therefore every scribe who has been trained for the kingdom of heaven is like a master of a house, who brings out of his treasure what is new and what is old.”
The master of a house stores up old treasures and acquires new ones as often as possible. So it is with the scribe who has been trained for the kingdom of heaven. They continue to produce new insights into old wisdom, finding new gold in the old mine.
no greater joy can I have than this, to hear that my children follow the truth ~ 3J4

day no. 13,106: two heart attacks
You cannot fix your own heart - even if you are extremely talented and gifted.
No matter how good you think you are.
No matter how good others think you are.
No matter how impressive your credentials are.
You cannot do heart surgery on yourself.
Even the best heart surgeon in the world is not so good that they could perform their own open heart surgery.
…
Your heart is not sick beyond fixing – even if you’ve done everything wrong.
No matter how bad you think you are.
No matter how bad others think you are.
No matter how damning your rap sheets are.
You are not beyond restoration.
Even the worst and most broken heart in this world is not so bad that it could not be renewed and regenerated by the Great Physician Jesus Christ.
