1 Corinthians 5:12-13
12 It isn’t my responsibility to judge outsiders, but it certainly is your responsibility to judge those inside the church who are sinning. 13 God will judge those on the outside; but as the Scriptures say, “You must remove the evil person from among you.”
In other words, it is not your job to judge those who don't claim to know God, but it is your responsibility to judge those who identify themselves with Jesus.
Don't we as Christians almost ALWAYS get this backwards?
We spend an inordinate amount of time complaining about those outside of the church who are sending our country and our world to hell in a hand basket.
But what would you expect from those who don't know Jesus?
Weren't we JUST like them before He saved us by His grace?
Wouldn't we even now with all we know and all we've overcome revert to similar behavior if it were not for the sustaining and persevering grace of God in Christ Jesus on our behalf through His Spirit's presence and power?
