I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he
will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture.
When we enter through the door of Jesus we find a fenced-in
facility.
It is a gated community.
But we do not find a prison yard, we find pasture.
Not only are we saved, but we are set free.
The fences of God’s holiness do not keep us from doing what we
want to do, they protect us from what we used to want to do. They define tangibly
for us that which is pleasing to Him and since we love Him we long to do what
He loves.
The pasture is for freedom.
1 John 5:3
For this is the love of God, that
we keep his commandments. And his commandments are not burdensome.
