day no. 16,482: His reward is with Him; His work before Him

Isaiah 40:10

Behold, the Lord God will come with strong hand,

and His arm shall rule for Him:

behold, His reward is with Him,

and His work before Him.

Wherever God goes, His strength goes with Him;

Wherever He treads, His work is before, His reward in tow.

His strong hand secures and assures it.

His mighty arm rules and duels.

1 Corinthians 15:58

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

The work we do in the Lord is not in vain.

His reward is always with Him.

While the work remains before Him, the reward never fails to follow.

Colossians 3:23-24

Whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.

Christ keeps count.

He doesn't miss anything done for Him and He never reneges payment in full for services rendered rightly in His Name. He does not withhold the good from those to whom it is due since it is always in His power to give it. (Pr. 3:27)

Isaiah 26:12

LORD, thou wilt ordain peace for us:

for Thou also hast wrought all our works in us.

God will make peace for us.

We cannot make our peace with God. We don't possess the ability to meet His demands or keep His terms.

But Christ can... and did.

Peace has been accomplished with God by God in Christ.

He has accomplished all of our good for us and invites us into the joy of being and doing that for which we were made.

Ephesians 2:8-10

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
