Philippians 3:14
I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
My friend Tim summarized this verse in the following way:
“There is no better goal than to strive for Jesus and no better gift than to receive Him.”
Boom.Roasted!
There is NO BETTER goal for which to strive than Christlikeness.
There is NO BETTER gift than to receive Christ.
The gift of grace compels us to get after the goal.
We work hard for the One who has already given us everything necessary.
We hold on to the One who already holds us perfectly in His capable, caring arms.
